June 24, 2005: An update on Courtney:
School:
Courtney has been finishing her junior year of high
school, doing 6 hours of home schooling classes. Next
year, she will be a senior at Lee's Summit North and her
sister, Morgan, will be a freshman on the high school
dance team. They are looking forward to riding to school
together! Recovery: Courtney's
wrist is healing well and she has been training 4-5
hours in the morning with Armine. In July, she is
traveling to Indianapolis to see Dr. Hastings, the hand
surgeon. He will be removing the two screws from
Courtney's wrist, which have been bothering her. Gymnastics:
In July, several college recruiters are coming to see
Courtney. In August or September, she will be allowed to
begin putting weight on her wrist. Her goal is to
qualify as a beam and floor specialist for November's
World Championships. Fan mail:
Courtney is a little behind answering fan mail, but when
home schooling is finished, she will be on top of that.
She loves hearing from fans and answers all of the
letters personally. |

lot, and this isn't going to stop me," she says.
